EMOTIONAL ARMOUR PART I

RESILIENCE SWORD

Both designs have been represented in the form of a ring, with the purpose of exploring the concept of armour. RESILIENCE, through the physical concept of protection presented with a medieval sword, an object used worldwide, shaped into different designs and interpretations depending on the culture, but holding the same function and meaning of resilience, craft and armour.

EGO

On the other side, EGO, such a powerful symbol that presents protection through a shield charged with power through self-identity, community and self of belonging. Used by the status quo, to differentiate themselves, the French monarchy adopted it as a symbolic element that shields enemies and differentiate themselves, to protect their status.

BRAVERY PUNK

In BRAVERY PUNK, I opted for the creation of a sculptural ring in the form of a helmet, using style symbols, such as the spikes or the silver head armour, that mixes both Punk aesthetic and medieval age armour used when fighting against enemies.

A symbol of protection and armour, representing both, the perseverance while fighting seen from two lenses: the youth punk rebellion and the perseverance of the knight.

CROSSES OF TRUST

Created from the concept of armour once again, but this time I was going for a piece with a tower-like shape, blended with a repetitive pattern of crosses, named CROSSES OF TRUST. Crosses have historically been represented by humans for religious and cultural reasons but mostly as a representation of protection. Armour, towers and crosses, three elements that portrays the concept of protection.
